About Four in a Row
Looking for a 4 in a Row game that just works? Four in a Row is a lightweight browser game — one small page, no install, no plugins, no account — so it loads on a school Chromebook, a work laptop, a library computer, or a phone on slow wifi. There is nothing to download and nothing to unblock: it is plain HTML and JavaScript served over HTTPS.
Play the classic Connect 4® style game three ways: against the computer with three difficulty levels, two player on one screen with a friend beside you, or online by sending an invite link. Rounds take about two minutes, which makes it a good quick break between tasks.
How to play
- • Pick a bot difficulty and hit Play, or choose Two Players, One Screen.
- • Tap or click a column (or press keys 1–7) to drop your disc.
- • Line up four discs across, down, or diagonally to win the round.
- • Add the page to your home screen and it opens like an app next time.

Frequently asked questions
Why do some game sites get blocked while this one loads?
Many game sites lean on heavy ad networks, third-party trackers, or app installs that content filters flag. Four in a Row is a small first-party page with no ad network and no plugins, so it usually loads wherever ordinary websites do. We can't promise how any particular network is configured, but there is nothing here that needs unblocking.
Does it work on a Chromebook?
Yes. It runs in Chrome (and any modern browser) with no install. Keyboard controls work too: press 1 through 7 to drop a disc in that column.
Do I need to sign up?
No. There is no account, no email, and no download. Open the page and play.
Can I play 2 player?
Yes — share one screen with a friend, or send an invite link and play online. See the 2 player page to start a local game instantly.
