4 in a Row — 2 Player Mode
About Four in a Row
This page starts a two player game of Four in a Row straight away — no menu, no setup. Red and gold take turns dropping discs on the same screen, so it works for two people sharing a phone, a tablet, or a laptop. It is the quickest way to play a Connect 4® style game with the person next to you.
Want to play a friend who is somewhere else? Hit Change Mode after a round and pick Private Game to get an invite link — they open it, type a name, and you are playing online within seconds. Both options are free and need no account.
Frequently asked questions
Can two people play 4 in a Row on the same device?
Yes — that is exactly what this page does. It opens a two player game on one screen. Take turns tapping columns, or share a keyboard and use the number keys 1 through 7.
How do I play 2 player 4 in a Row online with a friend?
Choose Change Mode, then Private Game. Copy the invite link and send it to your friend. When they open it the match starts — one of you can be on a phone and the other on a computer.
Is it free and do I need an account?
Completely free, no account, no download. The game runs in your browser on any modern phone, tablet, or computer.
Is this the same as Connect 4?
It plays by the same classic rules — a seven-by-six rack, gravity drops, first to four in a line wins — but Four in a Row is an original, independent game and is not affiliated with Hasbro.
